Therapy center profit calculator

A therapy center's monthly profit is its collected session revenue minus salaries, rent, administration, software, and other operating costs. Use your own attendance, pricing, staffing, and setup costs below to estimate revenue, profit, break-even time, missed-session losses, and paperwork time. The example values are not market benchmarks.

How we calculate this

  1. 1.Monthly capacity is specialists × sessions per day × working days.
  2. 2.Revenue is capacity × attendance rate × average session price. Missed-session loss is the difference from full capacity.
  3. 3.Operating costs add specialist salaries, administration, rent, other costs, and software. Profit is revenue minus those costs.
  4. 4.Break-even months are setup cost ÷ positive monthly profit, rounded up. A loss has no break-even month.
  5. 5.Paperwork combines session-note time and monthly report time. Its cost uses an eight-hour workday to estimate specialist hourly cost.
  6. 6.The Aghsan section values recovered note-writing time; it does not assume fewer missed sessions or better clinical outcomes.
  7. 7.The published UAE Aghsan price is converted from USD using estimated market exchange rates reviewed on 19 September 2026. This is not a live bank quote.

With the example operating costs, monthly profit is 33,560. These figures demonstrate the formula only; replace them with your center's data.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to open a therapy center?

There is no universal figure. Premises, licensing, fit-out, equipment, staffing, and local rules vary widely. Enter your actual one-time setup cost and monthly expenses to create a simple feasibility estimate, then verify it with local professional advice.

What drives a therapy center's profit?

The largest drivers are usable appointment capacity, attendance, session price, specialist productivity, salaries, rent, and overhead. The calculator keeps each driver visible so you can test realistic scenarios.

How does attendance affect revenue?

The calculator applies attendance to available sessions. At 90% attendance, 10% of potential session revenue is shown as lost revenue. It does not claim that Aghsan changes attendance.

What is an active child?

For Aghsan pricing, an active child has at least one session, assessment, or report recorded during the billing year. Archived, discharged, or inactive records are not billed.

Is the converted Aghsan cost my actual local price?

No. The calculator converts the published $40 UAE annual reference into the selected currency using a dated estimated market rate. Actual pricing in other countries may be adjusted for local purchasing power, so ask Aghsan for a current quote.

Does Aghsan save my calculator data?

No. The calculation runs entirely in your browser. A share link places the inputs in the URL, so review it before sending it to someone else.
